This visualization explores global coffee production from 1961 to 2023, covering over 80 countries across six decades. The dataset tracks annual coffee production in metric tons, revealing trends, shifts in market dominance, and the evolution of the global coffee industry.

Key insights:

• Brazil has consistently been the world's largest coffee producer, often accounting for 25-30% of global production
• Vietnam emerged as a major producer in the 1990s, now ranking second globally
• Colombia maintains its position as one of the top three producers, known for high-quality Arabica beans
• Central American countries (Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, El Salvador) collectively form a significant production region
• African countries like Ethiopia and Uganda are important producers, with Ethiopia being the birthplace of coffee
• Production has steadily increased over the decades, reflecting growing global demand

The data is visualized through three interactive views: an animated world map showing production intensity by country, a ranking chart tracking the top 10 producers over time, and a mobile-optimized combined view.
